ITV Rugby world cup
We had just two weeks to complete this brief, which was to develop a campaign of animated social media videos aimed at engaging the UK online community. The goal was to rally support for each of the home nations and unite their fans, driving social chatter on Twitter.
The client wanted a design that was simple yet full of character. In response, we created four idents, one for each home nation, along with a range of other animated graphic assets to support ITV’s Twitter and Facebook streams.
The animated stadium was brought to life with avatars generated from viewers who tweeted @itv. This not only helped build a sense of national pride but also made fans feel directly connected to their team’s support.
One of the idents—England v Wales—was aired before the match on ITV1, reaching an audience of 12 million, further amplifying the campaign’s impact.
